2018 was a big year, not just for And A Half, but for the individual members of the studio as well. As we ring in the new year, we’re taking the time to celebrate the efforts and talents of the people who make up our team. Here is a round-up of the personal design projects that made our year:
Orchid
King Puentespina, a close friend of the studio, is a musician and producer who releases work under the name crwn. He launched his latest beat tape “Orchid” on June 2018 through a listening party.
The launch happened through the help of some of And A Half’s members. Mike Parker worked on the personal branding for crwn as well as the design for Orchid. Sofi Bautista kept sponsorships and processes in line as the project manager. Ada Laud oversaw the whole process which made the event a success.
Darlingkink
A designer at And A Half, Kay Aranzanso is an erotica artist and illustrator known as Darling Kink. As an artist, she aims to expand and enrich the conversation on women and sexuality, especially in a conservative country like the Philippines.
Last August, she held a basic female anatomy drawing workshop in our studio with the help of the rest of the team.
Nooke
Nooke is a lifestyle store for home furniture and accessories by our account manager Ada Laud and her partner Abbey Manliclic.
The store carries carefully curated pieces, handmade by local partner craftsmen or ethically sourced from all over the Philippines. The two believe that it’s the little characteristic pieces around a person’s rituals that make a home.
Shown below are two of the store’s well-loved items: 2-Tier Mahogany Rack (left) and Half Moon Mirror (right).
Bangtan For Life
bangtanfor.life is an unofficial fansite made by our web developer, Jenny Lapus, and fellow BTS fans (or ARMYs) Andi Lanuza, Shanice Garcia, and Sara Erasmo out of love for the seven-member Korean pop sensation, BTS.
The team wanted to introduce new creative features through the site such as:
• A timeline of BTS’ journey and their personal profiles
• Letters for the BTS members
• A dedicated page for ARMYs and their fan art
• Fun links for new ARMYs
Woman Unveiled
Woman Unveiled is a dance production by the local dance team, REDph, which was held on AFP Theater last November 2018. The show was about the power of femininity, raising important issues on being a woman.
Clara Cayosa, one of our designers, not only danced at the show but also worked on the branding and collateral. &
