Design Challenge —
How might we design a personal and professional brand for Studio Cantero?
Studio Cantero is a Manila-based studio that specializes in photography and commercial directing. Gabby Cantero leads the studio from behind her camera alongside her versatile team of apprentices and interns. Gabby’s visual signature is clean and crisp, while making brilliant use of texture, color, and temperature. The studio is known for their mouth-watering work in food photography.
The brand we designed needed to be both a personal brand for Gabby but also a professional one for the studio. We took our cues from her values as a creative professional and also the different perspectives that Studio Cantero offers.
The entire visual identity is simple yet functional. Designed to give enough room for Gabby’s work to breathe and shine, but still have a signature that is distinctly Studio Cantero’s.
The logo is easy to use, whether for stickers, shirts or for equipment. The grid system can be used with various image sizes and colors, while still bringing the attention to the photography.
